Jaime has a B.F.A. in Studio Arts with an emphasis in Visual Communications from the University of Arizona. Following graduation, she served as an AmeriCorps Member for a year with the Excelsior Action Group in San Francisco, working with property owners, business owners and residents to revitalize the business corridor. She led efforts in the annual Excelsior Festival as the graphic designer and volunteer coordinator. Joining AIA San Francisco in 2008, Jaime is currently the Program Manager developing and managing programs to bridge the gap between architecture and the general public such as the Architecture and the City Festival (a month-long festival showcasing 40+ events), and the Marin and San Francisco Living: Home Tours programs.
As a graphic designer, her mind is programmed to create chaos into order. But as an extrovert, she also thrives on creating events for all to engage and to have memorable and special experiences. NOMADgardens’ mission to activate vacant spaces combines her love for good design and bringing community together.
